Sneakers that Sprout Flowers: The Biodegradable OAT Shoes

Awarded second place at this year's Amsterdam Fashion Week's Green Fashion Competition, OAT Shoes is a biodegradable sneaker that actually sprouts when "planted" in the ground. That's right, when you're ready to toss out your worn out OAT sneakers you can bury them, water and with some sunshine, the soles will actually sprout flowers. The Dutch brand will launch this spring with their "Virgin" Collection in selected stores in Holland and Belgium, but will be available online for those who don't have a trip to Amsterdam planned!

PETA's Naughty Ad for Super Bowl XLV Will Probably Get Banned Too

PETA has a long history of getting it's super bowl TV adverts banned. This year's ad is a compilation of outtakes from last year's audition for the infamous "Veggie Love" ad which was declined by NBC. I fully expect this year's ad to be rejected and for PETA to get a lot of buzz because of it.
