Pablo Picasso's Masterpiece "Guernica" in 3-D

To see Pablo Picasso’s Guernica in 3-D is a rare treat. The famous painting is arguably Picasso’s most famous painting. The work of art depicts the Nazi German Luftwaffe bombing of the town of Guernica, Spain on April 26 1937 during the Spanish Civil War. Picasso, who was very affected by the bombing that killed several hundred people, painted Guernica at the behest of the Spanish government which commissioned him to paint a large mural for the Paris International Exposition in 1937. On completion, Guernica was displayed around the world, becoming famous and widely acclaimed; the international tour brought the Spanish civil war to the world’s attention.

The Guernica epitomizes the tragedies of war and the suffering armed conflicts inflict upon individuals. This monumental work has, through the years, become a perpetual embodiment of peace and a desperate cry against war.
